Bows Bows Bows!

Ever since Blair Waldorf and possey started sporting headbands adorably adorned with bows on them, the trend has sky-rocketed. And though they are cute on headbands, some fashionistas like Lady Gaga wanted to break out and put them..well..

literally on their head!

What do you think? Personally I love this style.. I think that it's fun and daring and definately fashion forward.
Though I'm not planning on trying this ( her extensions seem to do the trick), do you go Gaga for this 'do, or think it's "hello kitty hell"?

Spotlight On: Phillip Lim Resort 2010

Hello Fashionistas!

In case you were wondering, what I am about to show you is a glimpse into the future of fashion. No, there are no plastic capes involved ( but we loved them on Barbie), nor are there iceberg-structured shifts ( sorry, Gaga). But Phillip Lim knows now- his resort 2010 collection includes silhouettes that will last forever and a color palette that just give it the cool-ness that Lim is renowned for. Take a look!

My favorite look of the whole collection. So swee
t and simple, yet so classy and sophisticated. The contrast of the delicate white lace top against this bigger black lace pattern gives the ensemble enough interest and fancy without going all out ornate. Love the cut and length.

Well suited!
This look takes the serious-ness out of suit dressing. I love the way the jacket is not typica
lly tailored and the pant are fitted, yet have a slight slouch to them. Plus, the lace peeking out is a cute touch to an otherwise cool charcoal gray jacket.

This look is so versatile, it's gorgeous. It's everything I want to wear anywhere. Casual but pulled-together, this is a classic example of the uptown/downtown mix that Phillip stands for. The casual leather bag and patterned ( with a slight trace of boho) loose top= downtown. [[[Phillip's current residence in the Meatpacking District might explain it]]] Lacy skirt, leather belt and ( are those snakeskin?) pumps= uptown. Lovely mix.

This look just screams modern goddess. Loving the sleek contemporary feel- that slightly off-white color against the light gray tee and the clean lines- with a gorgeous draping. This skirt flatters and hits right below the knee, but a little more leg is being exposed. The cinched waist is perfect with the skinny leather belt. So clean and chic.

So he highlighted some true Blair Waldorf fashion, lacy skirts and all, but how about some hipper Serena ensembles? Here a tough leather jacket compliments a rock hard tee. Love the tee- where can I get one? And the white shorts are just adorable, especially for resort. Double belt=genius! Props to Phillip for bringing back the loved accesory from S/S 09. But is this outfit feeling a little bit Rag & Bone to you? I've always said that Phillip Lim just has a way with fabric- maybe he should stick to the beautiful dresses with the drapings, etc. Nevertheless, I don't know a single girl who wouldn't buy this in a minute.

Talk about smart dressing! Phillip takes Ivy League-chic to a new level with this boyfriend fit short suit. Love the slouchy shorts + high neck oxford. So professionally chic [[whithout the bore]]]. Perfect lengths. Perfect tailoring.

Here, Phillip really seems to take inspiration from the downtown girl. Always on the town, he creates casual dresses for her- easily dressed up from day to night with metallic jackets and dotted blouses. Love these easy pieces-- it's easy to incorporate these looks into any style. Metallic blazer + short dress= hot trend to keep an eye out for, ladies!

Fellow Fashionistas,

I am so sorry about the whole skipping A/W 09/10 thing. Seriously, my bad. To indulge you in something a little more modern than my previous S/S 09 posts [[ i just love spring!]] I hereby give you resort 2010.

Pump it Up!

Bonjour Fashionistas,

I must make yet another confession. I am crazy for shoes. Who doesn't love those sky-high Louboutin beauties? With the notorious red sole { inspired by Christian's favorite scarlet nail polish}, I can't help but sharing some of my favorites with you. C'est chic!

[[[AbOvE: Scarpe Platform Slingbacks- fit for some fashion-forward fun! The Delic Suede Pump in magenta- perfect for prim parties or just a hop on the town. The So-Private Slingback adds some girly flair to any outfit with a leopard look and a hint of cork. And these Carnival d
' Orsay Peep Toe Pumps are best for an all-out over- the- top gala[ Louboutin's specialty;)]]]]

And what kind of a world-class shoe designer doesn't have a fashion-forward following?

Jackie Oh!

A dose of Jacqueline Onassis for your day.

How I wish I was alive when Jaqueline Kennedy's grace and poise changed the fashion industry- and almost all women. personally my favorite fashion icon[[and those who know me know I have a thing for fashion icons]], she always managed to be put-together in a way that stuffy grandmothers only aspire to. I hope Jackie inspires you!
